NPC's dropping all their items when they die.

I've been looking all day for a mod that does this. Does anyone know of what I'm looking for?

Thanks in advance.

Nope, because it would require attaching a ondeath script to all NPCs using OBSE since each item would need to be dropped indiidually. Which likely won't work too well since they may not be able to drop anything after they've died, would cause an excessive amount of havok issues when anyone died (dozens of items being dropped, and either getting stuck in eachother, popping away at light speed, or sliding off into nowhere). It would also be rather unrealistic to have someone's armor and belongings to just slide off them, and appear in a neat little pile at their feet.

If this idea came about because you have issues with long loading times whenever you access a container, you might want to try carrying a bit less. Oblivion's inventory system was not made to work well when you're walking around with 200+ items, since the weight of each item is recalculated every time a container is used, or an item gets added. As containers cause this calculation to happen twice, it is rather demanding of your processor.

Sad, but they drop their sword and shield when they die, wouldn't this just be an extension of that?

No, the dropping held items is an aspect made within the game itself, so is handled internally, and does not need any scripting, but at the same time cannot be triggered with scripting. Those internal systems cannot be changed, and even if they could, they would likely be limited only to worn items.

I don't want to sound mean. But wouldn't that be rather annoying? What if the foe died in the grass or on a steep hill? His stuff could be roll away and/or you'd have a tough time finding it. In addition, I'd rather not pick up every coin, potion, and ingredient due to the size and ability to see it. Also, a situation can occur where after taking out one foe, while still fighting a group of foes around, the loot could be "kicked" away by someone...
