prumathe
Hello, I have no Fallout 3 modding (or oblivion for that matter) experience at the present moment, unless you count switching out the mp3 music files. Haha, anyway, my questions are in regards to NPC companions. I have seen previous questions just asking how to go about creating NPC companions (usually from scratch). One reply told the modder to find some existing script files, like Butch's. My questions are (i apologize for the lameness of these, some i could probably answer if i were in front of my fallout 3 computer): How do you find the companion script files? Can you make a mod that modifies an existing in-game npc, such as stats, conversation options, etc? If so, can you make that npc a recruitable companion? Any insight how to go about doing this? Lastly, is there a way you can create logic (that doesn't take a lot of injected extra stuff in the game), so an NPC is only recruitable after a certain mission or event has happened in a given game? My issue is that i don't want to create a new NPC per se, but just edit one of the in-game NPCs. Thanks in advance for whatever info you have!
