Missing Objects glitch

I just loaded into skyrim, and it says all my mods are missing, including my DLCS, and Skyrim.esm when their all there? Any fix for this?

I don't play skyrim LE, but I saw your query on the side bar from the SE help forums and was bored.

 

I'd recommend providing :

• the name of your mod manager
• a loadorder file or "spoilered", in-thread listing of your load order (you can find the spoiler wrapper in the square green-ish-icon dropdown list just left of the Font selection box in the message editor)
• an indication of whether it worked before or not
• what you've done recently that *might have caused the issue (installed mods, disabled or enabled anything, etc etc)
• any other details beyond "it don't work no more" to help those who are willing to help you.

I'm using vortex, and (I dont know how to post my mod list with it need help with that :p) but all I did was activate the Dual Sheathe Redux Patch, which I have done numerous amounts of times, but for some reason it just made everything missing? How does that work?

1) Since you also use Vortex, if you ever need your load order (or your plugin list), they're located in

 

(Skyrim SE)

(username)/AppData/Local/Skyrim Special Edition/

 

(And guessing for Skyrim LE, since I don't play LE, they should be located in)

(username)/AppData/Local/Skyrim/

 

Hopefully some other LE player can verify the location I *presume* for LE, or tell you I'm full of ___

 

2) RE: Dual Sheath Redux, I can't answer that directly. I can suggest in general that if enabling a certain mod causes the game to tank, disable the MOD or uninstall it.

 

At that point at least you can play, and you can investigate the problematic mod "at your leisure" instead of scrambling "in a panic" or wasting hour after hour in frustration without a working game.

Yea, it just doesnt make sense how it all of sudden doesnt work. I was thinking it could be a compatibility error or something, but I dont know. Here is my modlist, I have about 326 mods so, thats where my problem on finding the error is.

As I suggested, disable it IF you can play without it, (ie the game still works as long as it's disabled - the mod I mean not just a plugin... they're not the same), then visit the mod page and ask other users or the author for assistance getting the mod to work.

 

At least then you can still play. Right?

 

There's probably

• some undocumented contention with some other mod
• or a load order issue
• or you accidentally loaded an LE SE mod
• or maybe it's just the raw number of mods
• or perhaps there's a bug in the mod...
• or something I haven't suggested

But for such a specific issue, it might be most "economical to ask the mod author or its other users. (this forum doesn't see a ton of traffic and many queries just idle ignored, for weeks or months until the OP finally just gives up). I'm not one of those who is familiar with the mod you're having problems with, so I can only offer general debugging advise (troubleshooting was my literal job at one time as an engineer)

 

Maybe someone else can see something obvious in your list. I can't sorry.

 

one last thing. I use Ecotone Dual Sheath, so if you're not married to the one you chose, it's a possible alternative. (IFF it's also available for Skyrim LE)
