Bartering with Whole Numbers

I've always found it frustrating and weird that something can be sold for a fraction of one cap. There're no smaller denominations, and it makes no sense to me. So I've always wanted a mod that rounds the sell value of something to the nearest whole number, but could never find one. Is there a mod out there that does this? If not, would it be difficult to make one?

Thanks in advance for all your help!

The game rounds it to a whole cap and the transaction. The way the game has it, is the most accurate, your way would cause near worthless items to be worth more

So does it do it when you complete the transaction? Because I know it doesn't round for when the item is added to the total. For instance, if I add a single item worth 0.9 caps to the list of items I'm selling, the total doesn't reflect any change, which made me assume the game doesn't take rounding into account. If it does indeed round it at the end of the transaction, is it possible to modify the total displayed to more accurately reflect the actual number of caps I'd be receiving at the end of a transaction?

And for the record, I said "round to the nearest whole number", not "round up". I'd like anything worth less than 0.5 caps to round down to zero for bartering.

More to the point, there are many, many, many real-world analogues of things being worth less than #SmallestCurrencyDivision - both historical and contemporary.

I hardly see how that's at all relevant. I'm asking for a mod that is basically an ease-of-use feature. It makes more sense to me to have the game operate in whole numbers, so I'd like to mod it to make it so. Other people may not find such a mod useful, and that's fine. It's also completely fine if nobody is willing to make this mod for me. I just thought I'd ask to see if there was either already a mod out there that does this, or if it'd be terribly difficult to make one.

it does round to the nearest whole number. try to buy a pencil (or anything worth 0.1) from a vendor. you can get it for free.

ingame, the total should be rounded.

I'll give it a test tonight when I get home from work. I have to admit I've never actually bought or sold anything worth a fraction of a cap, which is why I had no idea it actually does round. Ever since the first time I played Fallout 3, I've always sold anything I've carried in stacks of 10 if it's worth a fraction (such as ammunition I don't use, but is weightless, or close to if you're playing Hardcore Mode, so I always pick it up).

Okay, so I did a test. The game does not round when bartering (or I guess it could be said it always rounds down to zero...). I tried selling something worth 0.6 caps, and got nothing in return. So I tried selling something worth 0.9 caps, and got nothing in return. Which would be fine if it were only useless items that this happened to, but it bugs me that, for instance, many types of ammunition are worth less than a cap each round, so unless you sell in multiples of ten, you're losing money.

So, I'd be very appreciative if someone could point me in the right direction with this. Even a simple "yes, it is possible to mod this" or "no, modding this is not possible/would take way too much effort" would be good.
