found something in the files section that might just be perfect for your arena, speedy.

its a cage-fighter perk that comes from a larger mod. . .maybe you could make a perk that could be chosen instead of the modifed laspistol. . .for winning the arena, just a thought ^^

Cheers

Looking good SpeedyB!

Great idea with the unique perk, mjjking!

So I suppose it's my turn to post an update. Here's the story (which is subject to possible change as the project progresses) through the end of Act II. Other than changes, you'll get no more updates on the story beyond here. I don't want to spoil the ending. :ninja:

In case you don't want to know any of the story until release, I've hidden the text (if you're not sure how to reveal it, select the text in the black lines - highlight it - but most of you probably know this).

-Act I-

You are solicited by the Brotherhood of Steel to assist in the retrieval of advanced broadcast technology, purportedly located in former Las Vegas, Nevada (now called New Vegas). Travel to The Silos (a town built from the remains of underground missile silos) and secure travel on a Vertibird. Before you can set to the skies for New Vegas, you must assist the pilot in repairing the damaged aircraft by retrieving a necessary part from the Enclave. Naturally, the Enclave doesn't take well to thieves and hunts you down. Just as the pilot completes repairs and the Vertibird takes off, the Enclave storms the Silos and you narrowly escape.

-End of Act I-

-Act II-

You and the pilot Newton land in New Vegas on the roof of a casino. Several men in power armor quickly swarm your position and put you both under arrest. They take you to the leader of the local Brotherhood of Steel Chapter, which seems to operate more like an organized crime syndicate than secret society. The NVBoS decide you pose little threat to them and invite you to do some odd-jobs for them, but keep Newton in custody for his Vertibird. On exiting the casino, several feral ghouls attack you. The local Mafia lends a you a hand in fending them off and suggests you have a conversation with their leader. After conversing with the Don, you can choose to ally with the NVBoS, the Mafia, or neither. If you choose to side with either the Mafia or NVBoS, they'll hand you some unique tasks to accomplish. Throughout your time in New Vegas, feral ghouls are running rampant through town. Though the Brotherhood and the Mafia have been able to keep them at bay for some time, the feral ghoul numbers have been increasing and depending on your alliances, the Mafia, the NVBoS or the townspeople will ask you to find out where the ghouls are coming from and end the threat.

You begin your quest at the derelict Nuclear Testing Facility. At the facility you find a key that does not belong to any door along with research notes suggesting that many of the pre-war scientists, exposed and suffering from extreme radiation poisoning and insanity became agitated and violent. In attempt to treat the sick patients, the military hospital began injecting them with experimental compounds supplied by the nearby Nicad Air force base. Unfortunately, the compounds did little to control their demeanor and the sick scientists murdered nearly half of the medical staff before the military stepped in and exterminated everyone at the testing facility.

Following the clues to Nicad Air force base, You find little within the hangars or com-tower. Using the key you found at the old Nuke facility on a lone terminal in Hangar 5 opens doors to a hidden elevator. You ride the elevator to an underground lobby, where you find everything in deep-freeze. If you don't have warm clothing (or Mark II Tesla power armor), your health immediately begins to drop. Once you have something to fight back the cold, you continue through the top secret facility. A secondary elevator begins to take you down to the next level, when the severe temperatures cause the elevator to break and fall. Fortunately, the elevator brakes kick-in and stop you at Level 8 (the greenhouse lab) with a crash, but the elevator is damaged beyond repair. As you work your way through the remains of the facility, you find it infested heavily with feral ghouls. Luckily, there are emergency staircases allowing you to access each of the 8 other levels (not including the lobby) through computer terminals, though level 6 seems to be inaccessible due to an irreparably broken terminal. On level 4, you find a biological R&D lab that details the compound used on the early ferals (the scientists) and suggests it was harvested from an alien creature and engineered as a mild mind-control injection. Their early testing yielded very little success and as such, the test subjects and witnesses were disposed of and the project terminated. Alongside the research notes, you also find some of the relevant equipment thawed and in use. Clearly, someone is generating more of the compound and likely using it on the feral ghouls to attack the town. You have no choice but to destroy the equipment. When you do, a group of men come storming in with rifles and one cracks you in the face with their rifle stock, knocking you out cold.

This mod looks awesome!

I had an idea for a little something however, for like a follower. What fi one of the BoS member ended up alone in a feral ghoul ifnested casino, ran out of ammo and had to hide in a closet and hasn't left since. The player could find him, get him some ammo then he'll join as a follower.

idk. . .he was looking for something to give him a little favor with the don lol idk. . .i really just hate the BoS and their goody goody style. . .but i just remembered these are gonna be like corrupted BoS folks, so your idea would fit better with them because rather than doing what the D.C. Chapter did they wouldnt mind recruiting the worst scum the place has to offer if it furthers their own ends ^^
