just don't let it die. . .you dont know how dissapointing it is to see that on every single mod that you wanna play. . .

you have a good team and plenty of lowly fans who are in support of this endeavor. . .and im willing to playtest if you need beta testers or what not. . . .

I have some screenprints of texture work I have done (experimental stuff) including on armour if you are interested in seeing them but I am not sure how best to show them to you since I am new to forums etc. Some advise would be welcome.

A picture of my new texture of a new type of armour with a new kind of visor. I am a new modder but I have used photoshop for many years including the use of levels but not yet paths. You may note I have experimented with the textures of Megaton by colouring them to see what effect this would have. I liked the changes but many might not as I do not know how true to Fallout 3 canon this would be considered to be.

The picture is attached.

All I can say is that the picture failed to show you that the colouration is changed more than just making it crazily colourful and that the visor is quite different from the normal visor. I didn't just change the colours, I used layering blending techniques to change how the armour gives a general feel. I need to set up a bigger, more detailed picture comparing the new armour directly with an older style of armour to really show of any differences.

I will do this and submit a bigger jpeg picture as soon as I can find a way to do it.

What I should have told you before was that the armour is supposed to be crazy looking because it is used by a crazy quasireligious paramilitary style cult that I intend to build a fair sized mod around. This is only my first texturing attempt but am have begun the process of learning how to use meshes. I have done some more texture changes, hopefully some improvements, and am using Jpeg this time to hopefully show bigger pictures.

The cult was once a powerful and wealthy ecological (greenie) movement who built a large vault from stolen plans and materials taken from Vault-Tec. Not only did they steal from Vault-Tec but they gained secrets from other places and developed their own special technologies. Trapped and isolated in the vault they devolved into a crazy cult who began to see humanity as criminally destructive of nature and also inferior to nature. Now they are outside and looking both for scapegoats and for ways to help nature to fully recover from the atomic destruction and radiation.

This is only a first idea as is the armour. I have also done some texture changes on a female Vault jumpsuit which in some ways is better looking than the armour but which needs some tweaking before I can show it. With the armour I want to remove the wheel at the back and replace it with something else unique to the cult power armour. I also want to make the armour unique with its own meshes of course. I may also try to make the visor look even more different as it was not as different as I assumed it to be though I used a new trick to create it by altering a computer terminal screen and replacing the normal visor with it.

If you see my new armour moving you will note that a circular disk on each side, at the shoulders, shows glimpses of ying-yang symbols.

The pictures (comparing old and new armour) are attached.

Have to send again because I accidentally sent two of the same picture. Go to the next post because there are two larger pictures, both different this time.
