Draconius88
Having a lot of trouble with bodyslide on SE, for whatever reason when I build a body, it seems to conform to a certain kind of shape, rather than reproducing in game what I've actually entered. I have no idea why it's doing this, since I never had this issue in Oldrim, one time it also worked properly too, but for whatever reason now it just won't. I've tried just making a ridiculous body to try and force it to build properly, but it just reverts to a more normal shape. Any ideas as to why this happening? Maybe another mod? Thanks in advance. Hanaisse
It could possibly be another mod conflict, hard to say without seeing a load order. What body mod are you using/building?What mod manager are you using? Are you creating a character thats a custom race? Are you looking at your character nude? Might be easier to help troubleshoot if you join the OutfitStudio Discord.
anjenthedog
If you've used racemenu on the character as well, there can be interactions between the original shape and racemenu tweaks that changes how changes in bodyslide appear in game. (since you're morphing the shape created in bodyslide by adjusting its mesh further from racemenu.) Personally, I've never tried dong something "outlandish" but I do know that my "stock" bodyslide output isn't the same as my final character build, as I've also adjusted her heavily using racemenu. The bodyslide build produces the basic shape I'm altering using racemenu, but racemenu is the final stage, ie it overwrites the bodyslide derived body at least to some degree. I can't speak to transitions (human <-> werewolf, human <-> some warped player created design, etc) as I don't engage in that part of the game and have no real desire to. If none of the above applies, yeah, I guess you probably have some other mod that's preventing you from doing your body mod.
Draconius88
I had a feeling it might be something to do with racemenu, but I've uninstalled the game and have put on a separate drive, because I heard it's not good to keep modded Skyrim on your main C drive. I'll update once I have the mods installed again, I'm gonna just install bodyslide and Caliente's mod and see how it works. I just want to be able to create my body with the specifications I set for it, not trying to make a ridiculous body, just don't like it conforming to a shape that I didn't ask for and it not looking like the preview etc.
anjenthedog
No matter what, you *will be confined to the body type (CBBE, CBBE-3BBB, BHUNP, UUNP, etc) sliders and zeroed body preset you chose to start the adjustments with. As well, there are limits beyond that in terms of the textures that form the final image. BTW, one thing that some or many don't realize is that you can input negative values (manually in the value display boxes) as well as the values offered by the sliders... fwiw. Draconius88
I f***ed up, I tried to do a fresh install of Vortex, and it started treating random folders as "mods" on my D drive when I tried setting a new staging folder, so I started deleting them from the mod manager partly out of frustration and annoyance, only to realise that it's permanently deleting physical folders from the actual drive.... Like f***, is there any way to reverse this? None of the folders are in my recycling bin. I hate how this program functions, I'm so angry right now, I've just lost a load of data for no reason, which I know is my own fault for not being cautious, but Jesus Christ I just wanted to install some mods.Just can't believe I did this, feel like such an idiot, I just didn't think it was actually using my root directory as a staging folder and controlling those actual files. Lesson learned I guess, but god that hurts, I deleted a lot of stuff, but thank god I stopped at a certain point. Draconius88
Getting this s*** now, and can't get past it no matter how many times I try to give it permission, getting really tired of this program, might just go back to mod manager....I can't detach Vortex from the folders on that drive now either, and I don't know if I should try deleting the Vortex mods folder or not, and whether that could mess things up even more, this is a nightmare....[edit] Alright, fixed all the folder issues, but still getting limited body proportions for whatever reason. It just seems like in SE it just limits you, and works sometimes but not other times. For example if I make the breasts bigger, but also push them together, they get bigger but stay in the same position, it's like is just ignores certain inputs. Meh, might just live with it.... but it's just annoying, like the best thing about this mod is being able to just create whatever body you want, and make a unique character. It's not like I'm going to ridiculous levels with the sliders either, it's just like it's got limits set on it now to conform to the CBBE shape without going much bigger.
