I found it very easy to alter and add effects to perks and bend them to how I want to see them. For example, I thought the profesional perk was under powered, so I made it so criticals would double the damage. (Iam also thinking about adding a minimum level cap, say, 20?) At higher levels, pistols become under powered so I thought this would still allow me those joyous hitman moments with the .45, much to my delight. I also noticed the the 'sniper' perk was also under powered, so I increased that as well. However Iam not entirely satisfied with the results. Yes, the chance to hit the head is vastly increased, however the range penalties become far too ridiculous. For example, a shot I could easily make myself only has a 10% chance, or even a no percent chance as vats cant even be activated. Another problem Is that the special, handloaded ammos, more specifically, the max charge ammos and other similar versions, just degrade my weapons far too fast. So, my questions are Is there a perk effect that decreases the range penalty in vats? Is there a way of increasing the vats activate range? ( or is that a nvse fix)? Is there a perk effect that decreases the damage to the condition of weapons? Does a mod like this already exist? With or without these extra bonuses, I hope to post my mod at some point after working in nice descriptions and balancing, on the nexus with some kind of relevent name, the Hitman perk adjustments? Any help to solving these problems will be credited of course :) I honestly don't mind if someone decides to use my suggestions and post their own mod.
