StealthDick
How do I create a new pipboy stat? Like pockets picked or chems taken?
StealthDick
upon further investigation I found these stat values under "Gameplay > Settings..." in the Geck. However, I cannot create a "New" one or "Duplicate" a preexisting one. EDIT: I tried creating a new one in FNVEdit. It worked, but when I'm in GECK the new setting isn't displayed under "Gameplay > Settings..." Edited July 26, 2020 by StealthDick
IntenseMute
Your new "Game Setting" (Created with FNVEdit) must have one of these editor IDs, then you will be able to see it in the GECK. As for making a new pipboy stat, I wouldn't know how to do that. Edited July 26, 2020 by IntenseMute
UnvalidUserName
What you are looking for are know as Misc Stats (Not to be confuse with Actor Misc Stats). I there are a few functions that work on them, namely GetPCMiscStat and ModPCMiscStat. I do not know how to create new ones thou, but this info might narrow down the search
StealthDick
Thank you UnvalidUserName & IntenseMute. Can I rename one of those unused editor IDs to whatever I want to use? or should I just keep it the same with different purposes?
IntenseMute
If you rename it then the game setting will not show up in the GECK when you reload the file.
dubiousintent
AFAIK, "unused" variables are "hard coded" names. But "unused" might mean "unrecognized" by this engine. Many (most? all?) are holdovers from earlier Gamebryo engine games. You might want to look into JIP LN NVSE Plugin added Auxiliary Variables (aka Aux Vars), by way of AuxiliaryVariableSetRef as an alternative. -Dubious-
