OneLethargicK1d
As the title says, I decided to get rid of some animations in FNIS PCEA2, after deleting 4 animations and adding a new one in, to be specific, the animation I newly installed was Lifelike Idle Animations, I extracted the folder to my desktop and placed it into the FNIS PCEA2 and renamed it to 1_Lifelike Idle Animations. Then I clicked Deploy Mods option in vortex I was given the Vortex pop up that files were changed outside of Vortex and it showed 200.hkx files deleted, I clicked Save. Upon trying to boot up SKSE64 the window showed up for a split second and then disappeared. Now before I had installed the new animation mod I was constantly exiting and then booting up SKSE64 to check on the PCEA 2 MCM menu to see what animations were already inside of it so I know that SKSE64 only started crashing when i screwed around with FNIS PCEA2. I don't believe that I ran FNIS generator after changing the animation files so after the first time SKSE64 failed to boot up I ran the FNIS generator and I had no warnings or inconsistencies but upon trying to launch SKSE64, it still keeps failing launch. I haven't verified my cache through steam yet but I don't believe that's going to fix my problem. Aside from verifying my cache the only thing I can think to do is delete FNIS PCEA2 and hope that solves the SKSE64 failing to launch issue. Has anyone else had to deal with this sort of thing before? For anyone wondering, I accessed the FNIS PCEA2 folder by going into vortex, locating the mod and clicking the Open In File Manager. Edit: Just tried verifying steam cache, one file failed to validate, the game then auto updated but I have a mod that keeps the current version I play on, so SKSE64 shouldn't be affected by the update that was shoved down my throat. rmm200
If you really used "Lifelike Idle Animations" - that is not compatible with Skyrim SE. Someone did a port - but I can't find a link. Look for "Lifelike Idle Animations SE". Converting .hkx files is not hard if you want to do your own.

Converting .hkx files is not hard if you want to do your own. That's the thing, I downloaded this mod Skyrim SE in nexus. I always check to see if the mod I download is from Oldrim Nexus of Skyrim SE nexus, here's the link to the mod https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/27526Now even if I have convert the .hkx files myself, simply deleting the mod from PCEA2 should get rid of theose files right? because that's what I did however SKSE64 is still not launching. rmm200
Those SE animations should be OK. Any time you mess with any animations - run FNIS. Results are unpredictable if you don't. And probably bad.In FNIS check the box that says check .hkx SE compatibility. Also check the SKSE64 log in Documents/My Games/Skyrim Special Edition/SKSE. I've checked the box that has .hkx SE compatibility and after generating fnis again I don't have any warnings however fnis is telling me to check Skyrim/SSE but I don't exactly know what I'm looking for once I go into my Skyrim/SSE, my apologies. I've also checked the SKSE64 log by going through the Documents/My Games/Skyrim Special Edition/SKSE and i'm seeing these files that appear to be updated every time I try to launch SKSE64, my apologies once again as I don't know what I should be trying to look for however as I was scrolling down I've found a skse64_loader text document and inside shows the process of skse64 launching, I mention this just incase it helps you in anyway. Sorry if i'm starting to frustrate you because of my lack of knowledge on this stuff, haha.
rmm200
Well I am just another user here, trying to help. And running out of ideas.Even worse, I have never used PCEA2.Fore says to uninstall it, just disable it in your mod manager (Vortex), then Deploy.Do that and run FNIS again. Deploy again for good measure. Then see if you still crash.

Yeah i'm gonna try just uninstalling the whole mod and reinstalling, that is the one thing I haven't tried yet. Fingers crossed
OneLethargicK1d
So completely uninstalling FNIS PCEA2 did not solve my problem, I'm slowly getting convinced that this is no longer a FNIS PCEA2 problem. I have no way of identifying what the problem could be because as I stated in my first post, this s#*! only happened after I had installed one animation into PCEA 2. rmm200
Open Vortex, hit Purge on mod page. That will remove all hard links.Let us know if the game runs then (no mods). You may also have a broken save. Try starting a new game.
OneLethargicK1d
OKAY, OKAY, I DON'T KNOW WHAT JUST HAPPENED! After uninstalling FNIS PCEA 2 and SKSE64 still wouldn't boot up I purged my entire modlist (The little vortex button that says Purge) and without checking to see if SKSE64 would boot up unmodded, I decided to redeploy my mod list and tried to open up SKSE64 and.... IT WORKED, SKSE64 LAUNCHED! Loading up my save in Skyrim and checking the MCM menu shows FNIS PCEA 2 but no animations are inside of it. I opened FNIS Data in File Manager and sure enough, clicking on Meshes - Actors - Character - Animations shows FNIS PCEA 2 and only 2 text documents. I'm scared to try reinstalling FNIS PCEA 2 now... And thanks rmm200 for taking the time to help out a random like me, sometimes just talking with another person can help figure things out. Not to mention he was getting awfully close to fixing the problem, lol.
