melloj1
Hello, So I've spent all week installing mods to get skyrim looking great. I've seen some mods on here that state 'Dawnguard version'. So does this mean if I got Dawnguard none of my mods would carry over????? or some would but others wouldn't? It would be a bit rubbish if the game looked great until you enter Dawnguard and it becomes like a PS2 game.A simple yes or no will do. Thanks. ripple
If a mod offers both a 'default version' and a 'Dawnguard version', it usually means users with the Dawnguard DLC should install the 'Dawnguard version' of the mod instead of the 'default version' of the mod. Sometimes, the 'Dawnguard version' of the mod is an 'add-on' (e.g. UFO), meaning if the user has the Dawnguard DLC, they would need to install both the 'default version' and the 'Dawnguard add-on' for the mod. On rare occasions, there are mods that are not updated for Dawnguard but needs to/should be, but the author is MIA or too busy to work on it. Most mods, of course, do not need to be updated for the DLC, because they will work just fine with it or do not add or edit anything related to Dawnguard. The best way to know is to.... ....read the mod description and/or readme to check how the mod should be installed if you have the Dawnguard DLC.
