vincam
This is a problem that everyone runs into, this mod is sure to be a hit for whoever makes it. lore-friendly, fits well in the game, convenient, removes the need for constant fast travelling (or is a HUGE boon for people who don't fast travel). Here is the basic idea: The player will be able to hire a courier (or could save the courier's life when being attacked by bandits out on the road) that you could "summon" via an item or spell (the courier would not appear suddenly, he would be spawned, say, 100 feet from the player and would run up to him and open dialogue, like the in-game courier does. The player would then be able to drop up for a specific amount of loot on the courier (200 weight total, for example), and the courier would sell all the items given to him OR deliver them to a container in the player's home (there would have to be some way of linking the courier to the container, and there is the issue of going through cells and all that, so I think the "sell" option is best). If you go with the "sell" option, the courier returns to you in 3 or 5 minutes with the gold he got for those items (based on the player's own prices), and charges you a fee for the delivery service which can either be a flat fee (25-100 gold) or a percentage of the total (5-20%). Now of course, the courier would not actually travel anywhere, for the sake of simplicity when he was "summoned" as mentioned before, he spawns nearby somewhere and walks up to the player. After he is sent off to sell/deliver the items he simply runs 100-200 feet in a random direction or exits the building/dungeon the player is in, and de-spawns. his inventory would be linked to an invisible chest so the items actually go directly to the delivery point when given to the courier, or is sold directly to an invisible merchant once the courier leaves. But of course, the player does not know this :P. Leave feedback if you like the idea, or if you don't think it's doable, and thanks for reading!
