LE Gladiatorial Rebellion

This will be long, if you don't intend to read very much turn back now ahaha.

 

Hi all, I was watching Spartacus earlier this week and thought to myself how cool it would be to make a Gladiatorial themed mod for Skyrim. Now I know there are many mods that focus around some of the same principles but really don't have the same feel as the arena fighting in Oblivion, something I've come to miss in Skyrim. So to all of you who actually know anything about Spartacus it's a rather brutal TV show based on the leader of the Third Servile War, Spartacus who rebelled against the Roman Empire and made a rebel army based off of his Gladiator brothers.

 

So I came up with a few ideas, should you wish to hear them and maybe consider putting them to paper. Note: I'm in no way a modder, simply a visionary for these ideas, if you wish to perhaps make the mod by all mean go ahead.

 

 

Main premise: (To be reviewed, might be more difficult than I imagine) Instead of the cinematic beginning in which you begin as a prisoner going to the chopping block, the empire captures you and leaves you in a cell in a strange dark room, you aren't exactly sure how you got there and are quick to look around through the cell door. You see many other cells with men in rags just like you, no doubt put there for the same reason. A man walks up the door, an imperial guard and unlocks the door. He brings you to a gate where you hear chanting and roars of spectators, taking off your binds you are simply given an iron sword and pushed into a huge arena (This might be a bit difficult to make as I understand the building models might be limited) three other men come from the other gates bearing the same weapons and rags. Typically you assume they are the same prisoners as you. You fight and take out the three men and the crowd roars, you go back to your quarters.

 

The quest is to be reviewed with anyone who wishes to listen to my ideas or maybe go into detail with their own ideas.

- A well developed quest line with twists and a climactic finish

 

- A nostalgic environment for those who remember Oblivion's arena fighting

 

- NPCs who interact and even fight alongside you

 

- From rags to heroic armour, fight your way to freedom and become a legend within the arena.

 

- Receive something other than coin and leveled loot; freedom.

 

- Tired of the civil war? Want to be like Spartacus and rise to glory with your fellow captives? This should be the kind of thing for you!

 

 

Gladiators were often praised as much as any soldier, given their skill and training with weapons they became regarded as champions, something I found that lacked in the character (hero). If this mod were to be made I would be ecstatic to see such and would love to help and be of use. This would be quite the project and I am entirely convinced that it won't be easy but if anyone wants to be put to the test I welcome anyone to message me for details on my idea! :)
