Skyrim keeps crashing and i tried everything i know.

Hi everyone i recently downloaded skyrim se again and downloaded a bunch of mods i used in my previous play through (and new mods ofcourse), but my game keeps constantly crashing every time i walk a bit in the game.
I have tried with no mods and only Alternate start to start in a city to test if the game would crash and it still crashed without mods.

This definitely shouldn't happen. Skyrim is buggy and all, but normally it doesn't crash with only one mod installed.

 

Please let Steam check/repair your install. Look up Skyrim SE in your Steam library. Right click on Skyrim SE > Properties > Verify game cache.

 

If you changed your ini files, you should also delete Skyrim.ini and Skyrimprefs.ini in .../Documents/My Games/Skyrim SE. OFC you shoudl make a backup first.

 

If verifying your game files doesn't help, there's maybe a technical problem with your computer. What about other games? Do they run flawlessly?

 

Sorry for asking these questions, but if a clean install of Skyrim SE (okay, with one mod) doesn't run, then there's more to it than just some mod conflicts.

Yeah i tried al those steps, all my other games on my pc work flawlessly.

Special Edition used to work aswell back in february with almost the same mods except some new mods that came in the last months.

So i dont really know what the issue is here since i have tried everything i have learned in the past couple of years of skyrim modding.

The game can't be as pristine as you think it is when attempting a clean slate. Delete the entire Steam directory where it's installed and start over. If you're using a decent mod manager then your cherished mods will still be waiting disabled in the wings for you to try them out more carefully and deliberately... AFTER you've established that there's nothing wrong with the base game.
