ScrollThief84
Hey, I have a question for anyone that uses Blender... I have all the tools to start moddeling with Blender, but when I scaned PyFFI 2.1.5 with my Anti-V, I got "This is not a commonly used file, and may damage your computer." Should I be concerned about insalling PyFFi 2.1.5 cause I am... Any advice... I would really like to start mesh editing cause it looks like a lot of fun. LOL Thanx in advance
neomonkeus
It is highly unlikely that whatever virus database that you are using has any knowledge of our installer, as we build it ourselves. This is why you are getting "le generic warning message". Its just a friendly reminder that you are have downloaded/attempting to use something it does not recognise and "could" be harmful. Chrome for instance does this too for all executable files that you download. If you the user have chosen to do so from an disreputable source, then they are passing the blame onto you ;) All installers are compiled by admin level Niftools developers, using our own build scripts. of which the source code is available for browsing/download in each project repository. On average pyffi gets about 1k download a week, with other projects such as NifSkope getting 5-10k plus per week downloads. So we have a large user-base. To ensure that you have the latest recommended version refer to - http://niftools.sourceforge.net/wiki/BlenderThe download order is also the install order to ensure that there is not confusion. All download links are via our trusted sources ;) Edited February 5, 2013 by neomonkeus
