Problem with Exterior random CTD's

Hello, I was wondering if anyone could help. I recently started a new Skyrim game after a prior save just refused to load up without crashing after I took ten steps. I uninstalled Skyrim and Steam, got rid of all the extra files, cleaned the Registery/etc and made sure it was all totally clean before installing both again. After that, I installed a few mods for the character creator and everything seemed to run fine so one by one I added more mods.

I've now started getting problems with random CTD's Outside (and sometimes when fast traveling) it doesn't happen all the time and generally I get the CTD when just walking/running. I also sometimes find I have missing Textures. Like a statue/armour/floor will be bright blue/white instead of having its correct texture. Sometimes Male NPC's and my character also will be missing their skin texture. They'll have the head/hands but everything else will be a flat block of colour and whilst I do have a texture mod for bodies, I'm sure it's installed correctly. I'd enabled the Papyrus logging and I looked into the two scripts that always appear and one at least seems related to the Mind of Madness Quest which of course I didn't realize was supposed to be buggy until I'm getting the CTD's now. An example of the two scripts that always appear in my log:

[01/26/2013 - 05:33:00PM] error: Object reference has no 3D

stack:

[ (0001E68C)].Sound.Play() - "<native>" Line ?

[ (0009C024)].fxDustDropRandomSCRIPT.OnLoad() - "<savegame>" Line ?

[01/26/2013 - 05:33:04PM] warning: Assigning None to a non-object variable named "::temp6"

stack:

[01/26/2013 - 05:33:14PM] warning: Assigning None to a non-object variable named "::temp6"

My Papyrus log is pretty much just filled with the Dustdrop and BluePalace script lines. Is the only way to fix this to go back to an old, old save before I did the quest and just not do it? D:

I did have the odd random CTD before I did the Madness Quest, but it was only after doing it that my CTD's seemed a little more frequent and my Papyrus log was filled with those Scripts. I'd just like a little input from others if possible before I go back to an old Save set before doing the Madness Quest and lose hours of game play. Any help is greatly appreciated. I have looked through other threads with similar problems but just wanted the extra advice before I try going to an older Save/starting all over again from scratch.
