7970 crossfire problem

Ok so I'm running skyrim at the highest setting possible at 1920x1080. Originally i had a single 7970 but ended up buying a second one just cause it was a great deal.

 

My problem is that when I'm running through dungeouns, it seems like it stutters every few frames. When I had a single 7970 it worked anywhere from 59-60 fps constant.

When i add the second one it runs fine in large open areas (aka outside, not towns), but anywhere else it can range from 57-60 fps which does cause stuttering.

Anybody know what the problem might be, I'm only using two graphics mods and thats better eyes and apachiis hair, so I dont think those are the problem.

 

My system is as follows:

Windows 7 Ultimate

i7-990x overclocked to 4.1ghz

24gb ram

amd 7970 x2 overclocked to 1050 mhz memory clock 1400 mhz

Catalyst control Center is at version 13.1
