zachm07
i havent purchased it yet, but i'm planning to very soon. i was wondering though, is there a guide anywhere on how to run mods? is it like oblivion or is there something else that you have to do? Dadalama
you can run mods whenever. But you download a program called GECK to make mods. When you load the game up you get this hub that has your typical buttons like "play game" and "options". If you have the mod installed to your data folder you can access it in the "data files" button.
Spanners
Yes it is very much like Oblivion in the way you use mods (FO3 was written using a modified Oblivion game engine). So if you know how to use mods in Oblivion you shouldn't have any problems with FO3. Come join the party :D

zachm07
so there a data folder that you just put the files in, then you select them to run? just like oblivion? and i'm guessing theres no mod manager yet?
Khet
There's a mod manager, yes. Timeslip is still working on it so it's not THAT great (nothing like OBMM) but it still lets you change the load orders and the like. Here's the link: http://www.fallout3nexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=640 Modding Fo3 (in terms of installing/running) works exactly like Oblivion, nothing in that department has changed.
