replace all female warriors with men

It's nice to see so many people embrace women's lib, but at the same time, the OP is absolutely correct. Prior to the advent of the firearm, there was but little place for women on the battlefield.

There have virtually never been female warriors that fought alongside male warriors. There may have been occasional female warriors, but often they were forced to cross-dress as men in order to fight or more rarely fought in "amazon" warrior groups comprised of all females. We have many stories in popular culture about women hiding their gender so that they could fight.

If it's about culture, Skyrim is clearly an old-world patriarchal society. If it's about pragmatism, compare the physique of top heavyweight male MMA fighters to the top women. But the fact is we can debate all day why women were not allowed to be a greater part of bronze age and iron age warfare, but whether or not it's a fact is not up for debate. Women simply shouldn't represent more than a phenomenally slim majority of fighters in Skyrim.

I can understand why a woman might not like this mod or the ideas behind it, that's fine. This isn't an endorsement of patriarchy and social exclusion, it would just be more congruent to the shared history of humanity. I've never understood why modernity has always been so keen to deny this fact.

Not all people want their fantasy worlds to correlate to history in this way, some people do. I'm not even sure I'd use this mod were it made, but I understand the point.

Oh come on! Doesn't anyone feel a little bit of guilt at slaughtering thousands of women? If any of you guys went into a bar one night, and a woman picked a fight with you, would you really bash her and feel good about it, even if she started it?

I'm a woman and so 'No', I feel no guilt what so ever.... ....My boy takes their heads off just as happily as he does the males, though that being said, he does find the Forsworn Women a little distracting.... :P

I agree that as far as physical strength goes, of course a woman would never swing an axe as hard or as fast as her male counterpart, but I'm confident they'd put an arrow in you just as well as any man.. or slit your throat with a dagger. I definitely feel there is some weight behind this mod; just not in the sense of 'there should be less female warriors'.. perhaps only that the existing female characters be more adequately equipped.

I'm not a history buff, but I don't think it's relevant anyway; this is a fictional world, and the impression I get from Skyrim is that the men are hardened, the women are hardened and the children are hardened. This is also a world far more war struck and dangerous than our own, so it make sense that more people in Tamriel have taken up arms.. and that the women have learned to defend themselves too.

I feel that this mod has potential, but only if it goes by the approach of equipping the women more appropriately.

While I highly dislike that first post, it would be nice to see less women in enemy factions. Simply because I enjoy killing men in video games, not women. So I kinda hate having to kill so many... particularly when there is no choice in the matter. Forsworn? Instant kill attempt. Bandit? Instant kill attempt. Random citizen who saw you steal something or accidently hit someone when trying to attack a vampire in the middle of a damned fight? Instant kill attempt.

The first response to anyone in this game is "KILL THE FOOL!", which leaves me little response but "NO U!". Thus I'd like a mod adding less... but would prefer a mod that adds variety, and less "Kill on Sight" crap.

yeahh I know what you mean about killing women, I once tried a playthrough where my character vowed to never harm a women (I used the Speech Tree Mod that allows you to spare people) and it was a very interesting roleplay!
