Weapon Ammo Skin and Effect

Okay so heres whats happening

i've been trying to change my Ol' Painless (hunting rifle) into a weapon that shoots out normal bullets but has the same effect as the railway spikes

 

I know how to change the bullet use type, and the actual ammo type to railway...

but i don't want to use the railway spike skin

 

In short, i want to use the hunting rifle with the same ammo and same ammo texture

while having the nail gun effect on the railway spikes

 

I hope someone can help me out =P

Make a duplicate of the railway spikes, give them a separate ID and then I believe all you'd have to do is point the model/texture to just a normal bullet. Voila, the same effects are applied to the bullet and... well... they look like bloody bullets.

Hmm... i sort of understand what that means...

but being such a noob at this whole development kit...

do you mind if u can tell me a few steps? like where i find how to duplicate or something like that lol =P

and i realize that i need to change the model, but i cant seem to find the bullet model in my data/meshes folder
