Widget123 Posted August 7, 2020 Posted August 7, 2020 Hey everyone, I'm so sorry if this topic has already been addressed, but I have been having issues downloading DAI mods using my new computer. I have the DAI mod manager installed, but whenever I try to download a mod from Nexus, I receive a message reading 'this file does not have an app associated with it.' I did not run into this problem previously using my old computer, and am wondering what kind of app needs to be downloaded for the file to open. Thanks so much!
Thandal Posted August 8, 2020 Posted August 8, 2020 I'm going to guess that you haven't extracted the actual mod files from the download archive. Which "app" (program) you need for doing that depends on the archive file format itself. What format are the download files you're asking about? .zip? .7z? .rar? Other? Some archiving programs can handle multiple formats, some only handle one. Only after extracting the files from the archive would you (or DAMM, or DAM, or DAUpdater) be able to do anything with them.
Widget123 Posted August 13, 2020 Author Posted August 13, 2020 Thanks so much, that is exactly what the issue was! I downloaded WinRAR and now the mods are working perfectly.
