kytrin
I've started playing around a little in the toolset, and discovered I really liked some of the features there for head morphs. I'd like to incorporate some of them onto my character's current face, but I'm having trouble replicating her skin tone, jaw settings, etc. exactly. I'm fine with creating a whole new morph, I just would very much like that baseline to start with, if possible, since what comes up in the toolset is not at all in the same order as on my CC screen, and I don't have any idea which file or setting I actually picked. Is there a way to just look at my character's current settings so I know what should go where?
YaraC
There is no way you can transfer the values of bone structures from machine-readable files (mor, mop, das) to the toolset. The values of machine-readable files differ from the human-readable format of the *.mrh (blue print) which you can edit in the toolset. But you can identify textures (hair style, eye textures and complexions) and edit these values if you open a mor file in the toolset. In case you would like to reuse the complete face structure of an existing character - that is possible. You can extract a character´s face (*.mor) from a save file (*.das) with the tool Face Replacer and even change some attributes like hair and eye color etc. As far as I remember (it is some years ago that I used it) you can import / inject a new morph into a save file as well. Thank you for the information, I will certainly take a look at the face replacer and see if it'll help me do what I want. Honestly, all I REALLY want to do is adjust my elf's eyes and eyelashes a bit lol. Her eyes are smaller than they really should be, and I'd like her to have thicker lashes, but I can't seem to achieve that through the character creator itself. If the face replacer doesn't let me do that then I may just continue playing with a new morph until I get it right and save it as a preset for my next playthrough. Thank you again though! That's some really good information! :)
FIREFLY11
Hi kytrin! Since all you want to do is tweak the size of your character's eyes & increase the eyelash thickness a bit, your best bet would probably be to create a preset head morph in the Toolset. That's by far away the simplest of the head morphs to make. Once you do that, it's still possible to tweak your PC's appearance in the Character Creator in Origins, although certain changes can be lost if you select something else & you'll have to go back to the preset & stat over. For example, the Toolset has a resource that can give your character violet eyes. If you switch them to say, blue in the CC, & then try to go back to violet, you'll have to start over by selecting the preset w/ the violet eyes & you'll lose any other changes you made in the CC. I'm pretty sure you could probably extract individual resources from the Toolset & plug then into the CC (there are mods that automatically show up in the CC, i.e., the hairstyles). I'm not sure how to put in individual files (still finding my modding legs, but making progress!). And YaraC is correct--you can create a head morph in the Toolset & then put the face on an existing character (assuming YaraC was referring to a PC) by accessing a save file & applying it to the character, although I haven't used this method. Some excellent tutorial vids can be found on YouTube that can teach you how to do this & create the preset morphs as well. There's also this eye & eyelash mod you might find useful: https://www.nexusmods.com/dragonage/mods/5184. Anyway, hope that helps & good luck! Best, FIREFLY11

I would share a screenshot... but I can't figure out how lol.
FIREFLY11
Hey kytrin! Wonderful, glad to hear things worked out for you! I'd love to share some screen shots too (I wanted to share some w/ the Toolset to give some examples), but I can't figure out how to make them appear on Nexus either, so you're not the only one. Best, FIREFLY11
theskymoves
To embed screencaps to the forums, first upload them to a image sharing site. A lot of people use Imgur (sp?) or the like. I either put the photo on my Tumblr, or I upload to my Nexus media images (Media>upload an image). When I use the Nexus for image sharing I usually set the category as as a 'Hidden' image, so it doesn't appear in the regular image share area... but then most of what I post to the forums is 'caps of settings in various programs, and no-one wants their feed gunked up with that! Once you've uploaded the image somewhere, copy the image location URL to Clipboard (off-mouse click on the uploaded image and 'Copy image location'); then to post it on the forums just click on the 'Image' icon in the WYSIWYG forum editor (the one that looks like a landscape screen, between the 'Unlink' and 'Code' icons...), paste the Image URL from your clipboard and hit 'OK'. And easy as that, you've got an image posted! You can even put images under spoiler tags, just like text... just choose 'Spoiler' from the BBCode dialogue and don't enter anything... then just position you cursor between the tags and use the image icon to add the image location... like so: Edited September 6, 2020 by theskymoves
