Vortex won't open (frozen on the opening logo)

if its not starting that suggests some kind of issue with your system - look in your windows event log to see if there's anything there.

Yeah, it looks like something is popping up in the event log when I start up vortex. Here is the details of the warning that shows up in my system events:

 

The application-specific permission settings do not grant Local Activation permission for the COM Server application with CLSID

{2593F8B9-4EAF-457C-B68A-50F6B8EA6B54}

and APPID

{15C20B67-12E7-4BB6-92BB-7AFF07997402}

to the user DESKTOP-6UGB195\User SID (S-1-5-21-2140611135-4155069183-2667184153-1002) from address LocalHost (Using LRPC) running in the application container Unavailable SID (Unavailable). This security permission can be modified using the Component Services administrative tool.

I've been chasing this link in my windows event log to the Runtimebroker program because this might have been changed amidst my update. If this fails, then idk what to do and will probably just rollback. But I'd love to hear any other paths I could take before I do that. I'll try to keep this thread updated on any progress.

Did scorched earth. Reinstalled windows, reset the pc. Everything works fine.
