Spidergod
Hey, Thanks in advance to anyone trying to help. Problem I have is I create some modifications in the GECK, such as new Areas or modifications of some NPC's, and save that, it prompts me for a file name, directed to my Fallout 3/Data file, and yet when i activate the launcher or look inside the Data file it's nowhere to be seen. Hope this is just some easy fix because im new at this.
k1ngk1LL
You're in luck, it sure is an easy fix . A quote from the official wiki.Don't see your .esp file? Verify that you installed the GECK to the same directory as your retail installation of Fallout 3. The file should have been created in a \Data sub-directory in that directory. This is where the launcher looks for data files. Under Vista, if you are not running as Administrator, the data file may have been created in a shadow directory (with a name like "\Users\Me\AppData\Local\VirtualStore\Program Files\Bethesda Softworks\Fallout3\Data"), where it is visible to the GECK but not to the Fallout3 launcher. You can avoid this by always running the GECK as Administrator. And here's the link to the main page of the G.E.C.K. wiki if you haven't been yet.
