apr006
Hi,I'm still new to the whole modding scene, and I've seen some pretty cool mods that require SKSE to run ( deadly dragons looks fun )Only thing is it requires SKSE....What is SKSE ? and is there a good chance that it might bug my game if I'm already running a couple of mods ? micalov
http://skse.silverlock.org/ it allows the game to perform actions and functions the default engine does not allow, why a lot of advanced mods require it.
Eckss
Personally, I don't use SkSE (Skyrim Script Extender) because Skyrim is unstable enough with just the basic updates from Steam affecting my Mods, let alone having to wait for SkSE to update each time. This may change when Bethesda release the final version, but for now I don't use it, and so I also don't use any Mods that require it. I'm in the minority there though, because the #1 Most popular Skyrim Mod on Nexus is SkyUI which requires SkSE.

Rooker75
I was hesitant to use it too, because the FO3/New Vegas versions were glitchy for me, but I started using it a couple of weeks ago. It really is worth it just for SkyUI, but Predator Vision (for werewolves & vampires) is damn nice too. The Mod Configuration Menu is also extremely nice for those mods that use it. I say give it a try. As far as I can tell, it hasn't caused any problems for me, and I've got over 70 mods going at the moment.
apr006
Think i'll give it a try, wanted to try out deadly dragons with the less frequent dragons mod to make em feel like a real dangerous event, is it gonna cause any problems installing that mod and the SKSE on a game I have already started ? Rooker75
I don't think you'd need less frequent dragons. DD does its own dragon spawns (Assault mode) and lets you tweak (or disable) how often that happens. That wouldn't affect regular dragon spawns though, I don't think. I do have to say though, if you've never used Deadly Dragons, think hard before installing the standard version instead of Loremonger. Some of the dragons the regular version adds are absolutely ridiculous. Poison attacks, storm call shouts, some weird force attack that seems to ignore 100% magic resistance. I couldn't stand it and switched to Loremonger. That said, I don't think installing on an existing game would cause problems, unless you have already installed Deadly Dragons 4.5. Apparently there's a bug where a script is stored in the save file and crashes the game if you uninstall the mod.
