a Fallout 3 DeNormal Mapper

Would it be possible or worth while to make a Fallout 3 DeNormal Mapper?

Bomrets DeNormal Mapper for Oblivion did the following:

All normal maps in the game will be replaced with a 2x2 pixels large placeholder normal map except the windows because some problems arised. Oblivion will use much less memory and performance should increase. But all textures will look very flat. Almost every texture in Oblivion needs a normal map so the name of this mod may be somehow irritating. But you won't see or feel the placeholders so it works.

The mod is also for people who want to see Oblivion in Morrowind look. ;)

As a last resort for people with really low-end system-definetely. Because they don't see much anyway-exept slideshow because of 2 FPS a year. But computers get better and cheaper every day-so time is against you :-).

Well my old system is barely able to play the game and I just toasted a 500meg stick of DDR so that leaves me at 500 megs Vram and SYSram. I guess I can make this for myself and if it helps I'll upload it. It looks like just making a file list into a batch file is the hardes part. With Notepad++ that will be no big deal.

:thanks: for the reply.
