Georgiegril
I bow to Nuska's advanced expertise and experience. I would absolutely take their suggestions over mine. Alas, I use low shadow detail and get lots of shiny. I kinda wish I had the stained-berry look lips--much more to my liking. I wonder (just a stab in the dark) if it might be that you have decal quantity set to none? I have a fairly low end card, and so I have lowered my decals in my pref.ini settings.I really have no reason to suggest this might be the area to investigate, except that it is one area of difference between our set-ups. Sorry I don't know the setting on my skyrim options--every time you open that it causes a bunch of pref.ini settings to revert to default, so I try to avoid going to that window if I can.(my pref.ini settings, just for reference/comparison)[Decals]uMaxDecals=50bDecals=1bSkinnedDecals=1uMaxSkinDecals=20uMaxSkinDecalsPerActor=
morkof
i changed the Decals in my SkyrimPrefs.ini (attached) to what you are suggesting and although i think it gave me a little better visual (i think) it didn't add gloss to the lips.. :( and yes - opening the official loader messed up a bunch of stuf for me too and i don't wanna open it again to try the high-detailed shadow if it would do.. lol... do you know a way to work it through the ini file too? i'd def give it a try in CS but i've wanted to instal CS for a long time but i am not using a steam version of the game and when i downloaded it from somewehere it asked me for a bunch of other expensive software, like ms gamestudio or something and other stuff i thought was free..
