No Texture file in Data folder

Correction to title: Should be "no Texture FOLDER in Data folder"

 

I'm a complete newbie to modding. My first attempts with the hair mods and makeup mods did not go well.

 

My newbish question is: When I open the Fallout 3>Data folder, there is no folder named Textures (which was where I was supposed to put the textures in the makeup mod I attempted).

 

There are folders for: Music, Shaders, Video, and various bsa's (including a texture bsa).

 

Do I just make my own Textures folder? Or just copy the hair mod Textures folder into the Data folder?

Yeah you need to either make a texture folder or just copy the one from the mod your trying to use (either way will get you the result you want).

I made the folders (I just pasted the whole "textures" folder from the mod I'm trying to download) but the textures still won't show up. Does it matter if "Textures" is capitalized? I wouldn't think so, but I can't see any other problem. I remember having a lot of issues installing textures and meshes in New Vegas, but that was a long time ago and I don't remember how I fixed it.

when adding a mod safely it wont overide any of the original data in the BSA but instead FOMM creates a new folder

The green indicates a problem, and there should be NO capitalization of any data from a mod, when you see thins like that from the internet, be cautious of the container.

so, B4 we get to far ahead here, post the link to said mod in question so I can check what it is your having problems with.

then we can figure out whats wrong ,you should not be required to make anything.
