Daycrist
So I am playing around with making changes to the original Zazamel's Drow Mod and I have changed verious things to bring this mod more into line to D&D standards for Drow. I removed all his Drow spells/abilities leaving only the nightvision, the drow dark walk (which boosts sneak in the dark), and the drow sun debuffs (though I lowered the health and stam regeneration debuff from 75% to 35% as the original is more in line with vampires and the sun merely gives slight pain to Drow not incapacitating them). I added a Drow ball of light spell which is basically a no mana cost magelight spell (Though with the nightvision it barely gets used ever but hey it's a drow spell) and magic resistance of 35% (only 10% more than base Bretons but I have no idea how to make the magic resistance increase with level far beyond my knowledge but if anyone knows I would appreciate the help in making their magic resistance as such but balanced for the game so it doesn't become god aweful). But I find myself coming to want 2 extra things to work with this race, 1 is there a way to make the Dark Elf facial structures work with the Drow skin texture and 2 is there a way of modding the game to make NPCs recognize the Drow as Dark Elves/Dunmer since they are both elves of Dark skin it would be entirely possible that people of Tamriel to associate a Drow with them. I would appreciate any ideas or if there is a mod already available that does this pointing me in the right direction.
kromey
The "racial recognition" as you call it is based on the race itself, so without replacing the Dunmer race with your Drow race you cannot get NPCs to recognize your Drow as Dunmer. (Well, okay, that's not strictly true, but the alternative is to find every dialogue topic that refers to Dunmer and change the conditions to refer to Dunmer or Drow -- but that would be a massive undertaking, extremely tedious, and almost guaranteed to miss many -- I certainly wouldn't want to do it!) No idea about the facial structure thing, sorry; maybe someone with more experience in creating custom races (read: any) can help you out there. As for your magic resistance question, I think the closest you can get is a tiered solution, e.g. 25% at level 1, at level 10 that goes up to 30%, at level 20 to 35%, etc. To accomplish this:1. Go to your ability spell2. Duplicate the magic effect that grants spell resistance3. Apply conditions to the first one on character level (i.e. 0 < level < 10), and set the magnitude to e.g. 254. Apply conditions to the second one (10 <= level < 20), and set the magnitude to 305. Repeat until you have as many tiers as you want (be sure to leave the highest one open-ended so that players with level uncapper mods don't suddenly lose their magic resistance when they hit level 90, or 100, or whatever)

Also is there a way of making it so the Drow race is circulated into the random spawns ect?
