DTtocs
Hi Everyone, I've come upon an interesting graphics anomaly after a couple mods, and wondering if anyone else has experienced this? I am running a fair number of mods, cleaned with TES5EDIT, and load order managed by BOSS. Everything has been working great - up until last night. I activated Lanterns of Skyrim, All-in-One with the CoT preset v2.1. I then activated Project Reality, Climates of Tamriel final, set up available options to my liking (level 3 .esp, all other options inactive), and renamed two texture files per the install instructions. I then scanned with Boss, and cleaned accordingly with TES5EDIT. I chose to let BOSS manage load order. I then launched the game and 'waited' 24 hours to let the CoT weather systems develop. Wow! It looked amazing, and I was immersed in just running around looking at everything. I decided to visit Whiterun - went through the main gates (no open cities), and about fifteen seconds inside the gate my monitor went white screen. I could still hear the game running, and I could press the Ecs key and see the load/options menu. I checked graphics settings and everything had been jacked up to the highest level (GTX 560 Ti Fermi). I reset sliders, then reloaded from a previous save point. The game loaded fine, mods seemed to be working okay. Went back to Whiterun, went through the gate, and about fifteen seconds in the exact same thing happens. I'ts gotta a load order or filename conflict somewhere, I'm just not sure where or what. Has anyone else experienced this, and if so any advice on how to fix it? kromey
Mod troubleshooting 101:Turn off all the mods you just added, then see if the problem persists. If it doesn't, it's one of those mods you just turned off. Turn them on one by one, testing for the problem each time. When it reappears -- there's your culprit. If it's not one of your most recent additions, turn off all mods, see if the problem persists, and if it doesn't start turning mods back on one by one until you find the one that causes the problem. It could also depend upon some interaction of mods, so when you've found the problem one try turning off all but that one, and see if the problem persists; if it doesn't, you've got a compatibility problem, and you'll need to repeat the procedure again and again until you identify the one (or ones) that, when combined, cause the issue.
