Elven armor glitch in game after modding

I am just starting to mod armors by watching Nightasy's you tube tutorials. I was wanting to combine various armor components from armors already in game. It all works fine until I try to use the elven cuirass mesh. For some reason when I go into game, the elven part of the mesh seems not to appear until I zoom in really close. I thought I would try just using the elven armor by itself. After deleting a few parts of the armor and reskining, when I go into game it is still doing the same thing. Is it something to do with the elven armor? I was hoping to use the belt and feathers in my mesh.
