MidasMagicDude
A TES MMO would absolutely ruin the game for me. I would certainly prefer multiplayer. With a maximum of 25 players would be nice. Big enough to add some flavor to the game, but small enough that you don't have 100+ 9 year olds all telling you how much you "suxxorz". Plus, with a simple compatibility feature that tells you what mods the server is running and prompts you to install them automatically or find another server, then my life would be perfect. I've always wanted to show off my museum and start a marketplace.
hbzliln1ck
it will kill one of the most fun things to do in oblivion; use mods if beth wants to make a mmo for tes i recomend making 2 seperate games or to sell the rightd to make an mmo to some other developer
marabunta5
I say NO to MMO but an Online Option For TESV would be Nice (the same world but no Houses just a Bank or something and Coop Play style (2 people 3 or 4 depends on how many friends you want in the game also No Main quest then just Dungeon exploing :P) Also with That Coop style Players could have Mods But They Would need The SAME Mods Active and Also Need the Same versions of the Game&Mods but still single player is Better for The TES series its How TES was Born its How TES will live
Arkady16
MMOs are the best way to destroy a game's lore. Just look at WoW. Warcraft 3 had an interesting universe. Now, every bad guy from the game is being killed every week by a bunch of people saying gg, lol, etc. They keep making up stuff to keep players interested, and in the end, we have a world where everyone is uber powerful, with tons of powerful gear, even though the universe was originally based around a few select heroes, the rest being ordinary people. I like TES because I get to be the hero, and while I have as much freedom to go around as in any MMO, it's actually my world. The thing about MMOs is that they look good in theory, but in practice, they all end up as a competition field for illiterate teenagers who really should be at school instead of playing time consuming games. i agree with you 100% i played wow for close to 4 years when the first expansion came out i was a little annoyed that they killed off illidan but i shrugged it off and figured they wouldnt do something that dumb again.. when the second expansion was coming out i found out arthas was killable and i thought to myself is it even worth it to go through something like that again and see my favourite WC3 character killed off..... the answer was no and i havent played since october and proud of it..... feel like i came out of rehab or something. i would never want to see the same happen to my beloved ES series, if there must be multiplayer make it a optional coop mode or deathmatch so to speak but not a mmo. something completely optional that doesnt destroy the game for casual players like me. thats my 2 C
icefaii
Wasn't there a mod about connecting with multiplayer a while back? any news on that one?
katklaw
When I first saw Morrowind I was absolutely fascinated with the game: A free form game where you can pretty much do anything you like. Then I discovered Mods that improve the game and whatsmore the players are making them..........and to top that off most of the mods improve the game in texture, story and gaming satisfaction. Now I still play morrowind and am adding mods....up to about 500 now and it is still a great game. Then came Oblivion.....with ground breaking graphics and a modding community that is insane. The game went from vanilla (not to bad) to a visual symphony with all of the mods out there now. Now tell me this.......................WHY..................... would you want to ruin that all by turning the Elder scrolls into a commercial sterile environment where ya cant do what ya want and you are constrained by the masses. You couldnt have that cool suit of armour you designed cause the 4 million other players dont have it on their computer or ...that cool house.........or neat quest....or what ever. It is possible that the Arena's in cities could be sites you could battle other players on line: A server could be used to show that cool suit of armour or weapon. but the rest of the game would be single player but even then that could ruin the game. MMO means NO NO NO. I would stop playing the series full stop no question mark.
Arkady16
[quote name=It is possible that the Arena's in cities could be sites you could battle other players on line: thats a great idea right there sort of like a battle ground on a mmo and still optional if you want to do it or not and still allow people to customize there ''world'' however they like it i for one wouldnt mind putting money down on fights in the arena every once in awhile if im not fighting another player in the arena.
