DJMana9573
So I want to play Fallout 4 after a few months of playing other games, but when I load up vortex to check on everything I notice a few mods missing. Weird but okay, so I download them and when I try to deploy them I get this (image attached). I tried dealing with it by setting all to "Use Newer File" then just spamming "give permission" when it asked for it. Then I tried setting all to "Revert change (use staging file)" and spamming giver permission but it also didn't work. I don't know what happened in the months of me doing nothing with the game but I have no idea what any of this means.
Solution rmm200 Posted August 21, 2020 Solution Share Posted August 21, 2020 Your game got out of synch with Vortex somehow. If Vortex found a missing file in the game directory and you said "use latest" - that deleted your mod contents. To clean it all up:1) Issue Purge from Vortex. That removes the hard links.2) Clean up your game directory. Delete everything not installed by Bethesda.3) Validate your game using Steam4) Re-install each of your enabled mods from the right hand drop down. That refreshes them from the Download archive.5) Deploy - and you should be back in business.
