ripple
SkyTest is definitely not a mod that is intended to run with a large load order (as the author indicates on the mod description page), Deadly Dragon should be ok (I haven't experienced any issues with it yet), but you might want to consider compressing the DD textures to a lower resolution even though you have a solid GPU. As I mentioned, anything that adds more spawns and spawn points to the worldspace will make outdoor travel inherently more unstable (how much more depends on what they add and how much of it they add). The usual culprits in large load orders are SkyTest, Warzones, SkyMo. You can do the 'running test' to see how stable the worldspace is in your game: after starting a new game, run from Riverwood to Whiterun without saving. If you don't CTD, run from Whiterun to Windhelm or another city. If you do CTD, then consider trimming the 'big spawn' mods from your load order. KaizerFaust
Disabled Warzones, changed Wars in Skyrim from Dark Age to Dark Rainbow, Disabled Assault mode in DeadlyDragons, game froze near the bridge north of Riverwood. The game is freezing as much as it crashes it seems(typically around Riverwood)
ripple
You're only option now is to trim your load order 'significantly' and start a fresh game. If you can't even leave the vicinity of Riverwood without problems, you can expect the rest of the play through to be plagued with problems. Post your new BOSS log (with messages and enclose in a spoiler tag) and we'll check it over again.
KaizerFaust
Damn I already did that and have a save that has half the mods that I've been testing with, I thought I had narrowed it down to a Apachii hair mod(color mismatch for Elves or something) since it wouldn't crash, lo and behold when I disable it and go to my main save it still crashes, so I go back to the new game save and it crashes as well, guess it wasn't that mod. I've had my main save since Skyrim came out and was running mods like Deadly Dragons and WIS from the beginning, something isn't right that it all goes downhill in the past month, maybe its because I installed Dawngaurd lol Some of my trees are doing a funky dance when the wind blows. Edit: I didnt realize youtube clipped the part at the end when I draw my bow on the wolf and the game freezes Current BOSS log for main save: These plugins are recognised by BOSS and have been sorted according to its masterlist. tVEC
I used to have random CTDs running between the Guardian Stones and Riverwood on my HD 6790. I have many of the same mods as you but not nearly as many. Now my crashes are related to exterior>interior cell changes in Whiterun, and I have a HD 7950....but anyway.... Same yourself 6 weeks of frustration: Backup for data folder, then delete Skyrim's local content. Then manually delete the whole skyrim folder. Reinstall Skyrim and let it build the ini.... Start a new game that is 100% vanilla. I mean NO mods. NO ENB or injectors. Not even SKSE and USKP. No DLC either, just Skyrim.esm and Update.esm Do the Helgen scene and make a clean save after you exit the cave. Make some choices about which mods you cannot live without. I have found that many of my mods were more trouble than they were worth. Then you can use this stable save as a foundation for mod building. Add 3 mods at a time using NMM and test them well. Start by adding texture and mesh mods first. Then add animations, sounds, lighting mods...Save bigger, complicated and scripted mods for last. Use wrye bash to see what mods you have in your saves in case you need to back track. Never load a save that has content which you uninstalled. Don't tweak the ini yet except for volume, controller/mouse stuff. Keep adding mods until you find the offender. Then keep adding 3 at a time until you have all that you cannot live without and no CTDs Edited February 5, 2013 by tVEC
ripple
Never seen trees act like that....look like they are plotting against you or something... Could be a texture or mesh problem. Did you install any mod that aims to make trees 'look better'? Hmm...what did you do with the plugins not recognized by BOSS? Right now it looks like they are loading at the end of your load order and possibly overriding whoever they want. Did you compare them with the other esp's in your load order to look for conflicting records as previously suggested? Disabled plugins won't load, so it's fine. But there seems to still be a number of issues with your load order as noted by BOSS: GreenWaterFixForWATER.esp ActiveNote: Obsolete. Update to latest version. hideout.esm ActiveWarning: Original file was released before the CK (07 Feb. 2012) a compatibility patch fixed and cleaned with TES5Edit can be obtained here. (Compatibility Patch) Don't know if you have the updated fix 'compatibility' patch for that one, just want to make sure. Dawnguard navmesh error when cleaning is normal. Every new DLC will introduce some Bethesda screw-up.... Unique Region Names.esp Active I think I read something about this causing problems.....I could be thinking of another mod ('Region Borders', maybe?). But this is 'fluff.' If you are going to trim the load order and remove mods, start with mods like this. Last resort is a fresh install. If you go that route, I suggest using the Mod Organizer instead of the NMM. MO won't install mods directly into the data folder, so there will be no need to do 'clean re-installs' of the game when mods mess up you game. I use Trees HD and Lush Trees, also I'm pretty sure Skyrim Flora Overhaul changes the textures as well, I wonder if the texture pack combiner is doing something. I had moved the plugins not recognized by BOSS initially with no improvement, and I don't understand how to use BUM to make BOSS not put them to the bottom when its used. I have the compatabbility patch for Dovahkin Hideout, no idea why BOSS doesn't pick it up I have updated WATER and no change Something I just noticed before crashing outside of Solitude, a bandit seen me and was in range to hit me with his 2 handed sword, he simply moved around me as I moved not attacking, a few seconds later the game crashes. KaizerFaust
Switched from the standard Skyrim Flora Overhaul back to the Summer addition and the crazy trees are gone.Downloaded and installed Mod Organizer, I am able to play without crashing(still freeze the odd battle) but the load order is alphabetical so there's all kinds of things that aren't the way they are supposed to be, I tried to use BOSS through MO but all it does is ask me to update or install it(which doesn't change anything) EDIT: Still crashed looks like I'm doing a reinstall. ripple
Recommend you trim the list before a full reinstall. Get rid of SkyTest. It's prone to causing CTDs when placed in a large load order. Anything that adds more spawns and spawn points to the worldspace will make worldspace travel more unstable (how much more depends on what they add and how much of it they add). It's not a problem with the mods but a limitation of the engine. If your CTDs are mostly outdoors, then they are the likely culprits. The usual mods that contribute to worldspace instability are SkyTest and Warzones. You should just remove the optional cloak plugins (unless you actually want to deprive NPCs of cloaks). Disabling them means they won't be loaded, but they are being scanned when the game loads and there is no reason to extend the game loading time. The Bashed Patch will handle merging conflicting leveled lists if necessary. Have you managed to fix the issues of not being able to run BOSS through MO? Ifyou've switched to MO, basically all utilities, including SKSE, will need to be set up as an executable in MO and launched through MO so it will scan the 'virtual data folder' rather than the default game data folder (which should only contain the default game BSAs and BSM's after a clean install).
