Xaranth
:wallbash: My old, darling, wonderful foe smooth performance has been rearing his head again lately, with framerates tipping into the ten-to-fifteen mark no matter what. Graphics all the way up, all the way down, nothing. The same spots, the same problems. ...Then I took AA away from FNV and told Catalyst to do it. And they went away. Okay, HOW DOES THIS MAKE SENSE!? FNV with No AA at all: Crap Performance.FNV with app AA: Crap Performance.FNV with Driver AA: Smooth performance. ...I hate this game. Right this minute, I really do. Sirropoo
Just the way it was implemented, the drivers/interface. One big reason why it is such a headache to develop graphics (and sound too) for PC's, to many variablesin the way graphics/sound is implemented, bunch years ago, the standard was "there is no standard" ...thathas changed somewhat but it still exist in a "standards" interpretation ...ie, same book but you read it as goingleft, I see it as going right. Anyway, millions of transistors, whats the odds a computer can survive a year when alls it takes is one transistorgoing bad ? ...lucky this stuff works at all
