roman11777
So I got lonesome road a few days ago, and when I found the Advanced Riot Gear, the texture was all glithced. It looked like it was made out of sand or stone, and every time i moved the camera the texture changed to someone's face or the texture of a nuka cola vending machine. How do I fix this and are there any mods that could have caused this? EDIT: Oh great. The last post on this board was yesterday. Welp, guess I should give up all hopes of getting this fixed. Xaranth
That behaviour indicates that the texture path for the model is invalid. Basically, the game can't find the texture the model says to load and so it gets textured randomly. If you're running any riot gear mods, reinstall them and toggle the Archive Invalidation. If not, try re-downloading the LR BSAs.

Xaranth
You are rude. I am tempted to just ignore you, but. LR == Lonesome Road BSA == Bethesda Softworks Archive, an archive format used by TES and Fallout to store game resources such as meshes, textures, and other files. roman11777
I wasn't being rude I just said 'hell'. Also where am I supposed to find this 'LR BSA?'
Xaranth
%STEAMPATH%\steamapps\common\fallout new vegas\Data\LonesomeRoad - Main.bsa%STEAMPATH%\steamapps\common\fallout new vegas\Data\LonesomeRoad - Sounds.bsa Also make sure no mods have installed an advance riot gear replacement by making sure there isn't anything present in the folder: %STEAMPATH%\steamapps\common\fallout new vegas\Data\meshes\nvdlc04\armor\nvdlc04ritgeararmor\ Edit: If you do need to delete the BSAs, you will need to tell steam to verify your game cache to force it to re-download the files. roman11777
The files in the nvdlc04riotgeararmor folder are these:nvdlc04riotgeararmoroutfit.nifnvdlc04riotgeararmoroutfit_f.nifnvdlc04riotgeararmoroutfitb.nifnvdlc04riotgeararmoroutfitb_f.nifnvdlc04riotgeararmoroutfitc.nifnvdlc04riotgeararmoroutfitc_f.nif Is there anything out of place here? Im assuming there shouldn't be, since I just got this DLC a few days ago and haven't installed any mods since then. If there were mods that would change the texture of the riot gear which i installed prior to buying the DLC I'm pretty sure they wouldn't work anyway. Xaranth
If you delete those six models - or more safely, rename the folder - the problem should resolve.
roman11777
Im guessing I can just rename it to anything. Let's see if this works. Edited February 3, 2013 by roman11777
