kytrin
Seriously, this started happening randomly while I'm fighting about the same time I recruited Wynne. My gear's helm has an effect called generates cleansing aura (thank you RLs Fashion Bazaar), but I thought that was only for mages. And when I try to remove the helm, and take all mages out of my party, it still comes back! I can't even tell if it's actually doing anything. In any case, it's peculiar and very out of place on my warrior. Has anyone seen this? If so, is there a fix that, hopefully, doesn't involve a rollback or new game? <.<
theskymoves
Sometimes sustained visual effects will persist after the reason for the effect has been ended or removed, and Cleaning Aura is one that it happens with a lot. Usually closing out the game and reloading will clear it, or, if Alistair has the Templar ability Cleanse Area, that should eliminate it. You can remove the spell from the helm by editing the item's UTI file, as I suspect that probably not having any positive effect. (Cleansing Aura doesn't Heal Self, and since your character isn't a mage, you can't cast the spell to heal anyone else...) See this tutorial for the basics of UTI editing. (There's a list of talent and spell ID codes on the DA Wiki.)
