Trunks10k
I recently formatted my pc and had to reinstall Origin and all my games. So I recently updated to 1.05 because EA support page said so if my official DLCs weren't registering. Now I know how to use damodder to install mods and it has worked before I formated my pc. Now after install all the mods, its even appearing in the overide folder in "mydocuments/DAO/core" still nothing is appearing when I load up the game and check download contents. I only see the official DLCs that came with my Ultimate version Edited February 3, 2013 by Trunks10k

Thandal
Neither of the issues you've mentioned (re-installing, 1.05 patch) should have any effect whatsoever on mods. I have personally un-/re-installed the game (retail disc and EA/Origin download) multiple times, and have applied every patch (as well as work-arounds for 1.03, and several beta versions for 1.05) on both Win7 and now Win8 rigs. We'll need much more information about your set-up, mods, and what's going on, before we can help: a) OS and install method (to ensure correct paths).b) Mods attempted. A screenshot of your mod folder structure would also help. Thandal
Ok, the first two mods you list are among the most complicated to install. Just for example; DA-Redesigned requires several additional mods (including "Dracomies True Textures") before it will work correctly, and NBaio (which is what you linked) will NOT work without DAO-ModManager to provide the interface and on-the-fly creation of the actual files in use for each body model. (DA-Modder cannot handle ".override" files at all.) This tells me that you have probably missed one or more vital steps in the various authors' installation instructions and suggest that you take these mods one-at-a-time and get each one working individually. Last note: Can't tell if you just truncated the full path you cited above, but in any (standard) install there is no such path as "...mydocuments/DAO/core". Placing things in the exact right folders is critical to getting mods to work. If you can't be bothered to be complete and correct in telling us what you're doing, we can't be bothered trying to help you.

But the steps I took were basically damodder and created a folder called override which I placed some files in.exact path is "C:\Users\Documents\BioWare\Dragon Age\packages\core\override" was early in the morning didn't bother looking up the path. And I only folder here as was said by the readme by one of the mods mentioned Edited February 3, 2013 by Trunks10k
Trunks10k
sorry clearly I did not read any of the install notes to most of these mods n just assumed it was a simple process. I will do my homework and read before posting thanks for clearling stuff up
Sync182
DAO ModManager is your friend:http://dragonage.nexusmods.com/mods/277 It is a simple drag-n-drop interface for both .dazip and .override files that are used in DA:O and DA:A - you drag your files into the interface so DAMM knows about them, then right-click to install. DAMM does the rest. Hairstyles (and any other character-creation altering mod, including tints, makeup, tattoos, and so on) are different again, in that you need to copy the files to your .../My Documents/Bioware/Dragon Age/packages/core/override folder, THEN you need to include them into your chargenmorph.xml file so the game knows the additions exist. To best do that, you need TerraEx's program:http://dragonage.nexusmods.com/mods/971 Correctly using these two applications will likely dramatically increase the chances of your custom mods working as intended.
Thandal
Totally agree with Sync. I always use DAMM (not DAM) and the CharGenMorph Compiler.
