G4M3W1NN3R Posted August 24, 2020 Share Posted August 24, 2020 (edited) hi guys and gals, i am in the process of creating a new mod, that finally grants Draugr the ability to dual wield weapons, as well as wield one-handed weapons in either hand. (this is finished, however i have not tested in game, all my testing has only been in the creation kit, via viewing their animations in preview window, which works, so via the creation kit, they can definitely use Dual wield weapons now, and have the animations for them, however this has not been tested in game yet) however due to the only possible way of getting them to use and likewise have dual wield animations, requires giving them all animations humanoid npcs have, and likewise behavior graphs etc etc so as such Draugr are now Essentially living Humanoid enemies, that now move and animate exactly as a humanoid NPC, whilst still looking and sounding exactly as draugr do. this also means that draugr, will be affected by any Animation mod you have, that affects Npc's, such as pretty animations mods, idle animation mods etc etc. Essentially: Male Draugr, now have access to and can use All Male Animations - which will include mods that affect these Female Draugr, now have access to and can use All Female Animations - which will include mods that affect these now, the sole purpose of this mod, is to give draugr the ability to Dual Wield and also be able to wield One-Handed Weapons in Either hand, which based on the creation kit testing, i have successfully achieved. however this comes with possible issues in game Continued - Click on Spoiler (*Show*) Currently i have noticed 1 issue so far, that is: the draugr right foot clips into the ground, its a minor issue judging on the animation image, simply the actual sole is in the ground, i will try fixing this, as i figured out a sort of workaround, however that in itself will also have a visual issue, although that will be much less noticeable So i will be testing this mod in game, and if i am happy with the results, i will upload. i am intending on doing this for Falmer as well, as this will finally allow Falmer to use more then just Axes, they will also finally be able to Dual Wield, use Daggers, Swords, Maces and Finally Two-Handed Weapons (assuming they cant already, i dont ever remember seeing a Falmer with a Two-Handed Weapon) but yea, i will do testing on Draugr First, as i need to know if this may break them. if it dont, then i will work on falmer. Also this mod, now makes All One-Handed Weapons Dual-Weldable for NPCs, Previously only Forsworn One-Handed Weapons were Dual-Weldable , now however my mod will make all One-Handed Weapons Dual-Weldable for NPCs Note: This mod will eventually Extend to: Skeletons and Falmer Note: I should also mention, i have only very recently returned to Skyrim after a several years break, so if a mod like this exists already, let me know, their has been thousands of mods been released since my absence, and i am noticing massive progress :smile: loving the new HDT-SMP Physics mods, CBP and the like (new to me), greatly increased my enjoy ability of the game due to the nature of said mods, i absolutely love the Cape Physics and other Physics applied to clothing, this is revolutionary to me with regards to where modding was, before i left Edit:(25/08/20) - i have decided i wont edit the vanilla Draugr, i will instead, remake my guardians mod i made back in 2012 for oldrim, and have the dual-wielding draugr, skeletons and falmer as new enemies. this way, the vanilla draugr will remain unaltered, removed from the leveled lists, and the overhauled draugr will replace them. The guardians mod will take me a good few months to make, as it will be remade from scratch for SSE, but ye, this will greatly increases the difficulty of Dungeons, Falmer Locations, Soul Cairn, and Vampire Locations among may other additions.
