But they are not showing up in the Weapon Dialogue in items/weapon/weapons/2handrifle/weapSniperRifle. in the ART AND SOUND tab, i go to "Attack Sound (2D)" and try to find the .wav i put into the data/sound/fx/wpn/riflesniper Folder. anyone know how to fix this? am i making a stupid error? please help. First, i put my file in the data/sound/fx/wpn/riflesniper folder. didn't come up. then i made a folder called my sounds in the data/sound directory. then the sound wouln't even play from that location. i feel like i'm getting closer. also, i'm close to finishing my first Quest!!!! after about 2 years of trying to learn scripting, it's FINALLY starting to make some sense!!!!!! LordNighthawk4 Posted December 22, 2008 Share Posted December 22, 2008 put your .wav in the correct data/sound/fx/wpn/whatever folder.open up geck.go to file - data - fallout3.esm + your.esp as active file. click okeverything loads ;)go to miscellaneousgo soundlook for wpnriflesniperfire2d (for example) -> right click -> newenter the name wpnriflesniperfirespecial (just for example, but it makes it easier to find your new sound in the list)open the add sound dialogue and move through the folders to your wav. click open. at this moment click ok in your soundboxre-open your new created sound. now you can hear your sound if you click the play button.check how the sliders are set for wpnriflesniperfire2d, or try around on your own how to set everything optimalnow click ok again.save your .espmove to items -> weapons -> 2handrifleedit the rifle of your favor, now your own sound should appear in the list Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Crowbennett08 Posted December 22, 2008 Author Share Posted December 22, 2008 wait a minute! i changed the file name to the exact extension you said, and it worked. why? i don't understand why it didn't like the file name i gave it, big bold letters CROWSGUN it didn't like that.
