billypnats
Ok, I just realized that you can get the game patched for free! FREE!!! I downloaded it from the official website, langpack and mainfile, put them both in a folder call Witcher Patch and ran the program... Started at 4:00ish now its 5:54, it's still not done.... I know that on the description it says may take 2 hours, but right now, no file is being added to my witcher folder, the size is jumping between 8.25 GB and 10.X GB....weird... Doesn't seem to be using any CPU either... should I be concerned?
TheTerminator2004
Well, considering the entire game only took about half an hour to install for me, including the patch, maybe. It definitely shouldnt take that long, lol. Try canceling it, and starting again... sounds like its got stuck somewhere.

TheTerminator2004
lol, some games are weird like that - Shogun: Total War always takes about 3 hours to install for me, and GTA: San Adreas took nearly 10 (then refused to work afterwards xP)
Michlo
I hope you'll find it was worth it. I didn't play the first version but have certainly enjoyed the enhanced. Cheers.
Maigrets
I bought The Witcher a few days before Christmas after a complete computer upgrade. I applied the Enhancement pack and it took just over an hour. I must have been lucky because it didn't take that long to install either. I'm going to download the other pack later as well. Mainly for the music which I really like. I can take or leave the making of video so it's a big download just for that but what the heck. Why not. I haven't got far yet in the game but I like what I've seen so far. The combat system takes some getting used to but with the 3rd person view it's easier for me than the Isometric view. The Intro was one of the best I've seen in a game, although due to my old computer I haven't seen many new ones. Then it's straight into the action and keeps going after it's over.
