Mod packs, combine them for your gaming pleasure

The title says most of it, but I'll explain it anyway. Let's say that I have a number of mods that I consider a must have. Let's take a round number like ten. Ten mods that I like to use and I consider a must have. But some of them need some editing and adjusting before they can work properly with each other? Is it allowed to edit those mods so they work together with no bugs and or post them here so that other people can use these combined mods as well?

I thought to put this in general talk but I figure that since it's related to a mod, I should put it here instead.

Now, just to make it clear: I don't have the know how to do this. But I do know someone that might. So I thought, why not ask it in the community first? If I would know how to do it myself, I would probably do it either way. But since I don't... Well I'm curious to the answer at least.

Instead of referring to aeons long post that explains it, I'll tell it shortly:

No.

However, if all the authors of the said ten mods would allow you to upload their work, then it'd be allowed.

Combining them on your own hardware and keeping it to yourself is permitted, but you can't upload the assets without original authors permission.

Related.

Easy tutorial on how-to combine mods with TesVedit.

But I suggest you backup your .esp files.

I was also curious about something sort of related. There is a mod author who made a compatibility mod for a sorting mod, which changed something with the new food in Hearthfire that let the sorting mod recognize it. A request was made for the same author to make a similar compatibility mod for the new Ingestibles in Dawnguard, but he/she doesn't have the Dawnguard.esm file. SO, i was wondering if I could make an .esp file with just the new Ingestibles and post it as a mod, for him/her to use. Is that allowed?

If the original author has given you permission.
