Job4aCowboy
Hey, I'm a modding noob and I have a couple of questions. Does the navmesh bug still exist? I've been researching and know what it is, but can't find any solid information on whether it's still a problem. I've already created a few interiors and edited exterior navmeshes but would like to know before I have to re-do everything I plan to do. According to the Creation Kit tutorial site it was fixed in an update. Also how do you add items to an NPC's inventory or to a container without editing all the references of that npc/object? I know I could just duplicate and make my own containers and NPC's but is there a way to just to add a single item to a single container/NPC without duplicating? I looked in "Redorans Retreat" where a treasure map has been added to the Boss chest, and it is "link ref'd", but whenever I do it this way it doesn't work. DreamKingMods
Does the navmesh bug still exist? No, it was fixed circa Skyrim 1.6. Not sure about your second question, it depends on what exactly you want to do, does the inventory of the container you're looking at respawn, etc.
Job4aCowboy
Nice one thanks, I'm glad it has been, already navmeshed a few areas, would hate to have to do it all again! And I would like to add, say a journal or a key to an npc's inventory. So I'd place an leveled NPC in as usual, but they would be holding this key etc, so when the player kills them they could loot it off them.
