Crash when an NPC exits power armor

So, for whatever reason, trying to play the 'NPC exiting power armor' animation causes an immediate crash to desktop. I noticed this when fighting Ivey in Fort Hagen - sniping the Fusion Core on her armor would cause an explosion and then a CTD. Recently, Macready is in a PA I picked up during the Big Dig quest and any attempt to remove him from said armor causes a CTD the moment he finishes saying 'okay' to getting out of the armor. Using console commands also causes this CTD.

Tested it again, it's any NPC exiting any PA. It seems to be linked to the exit animation...
