czernoglosin
Okay, this may be a silly, or even outrageous request, but I have found little information on this topic, so here I am. I am a beginner at modding, so please forgive me for my ignorance. If you don't want to read the whole story, feel free to skip to the end of the post, where I explain the gist of it.The most important reason why I mod Skyrim is performance. To put it simply, my 'rig' could be considered a 'monster pc' by 2005 standards, but not by today's or even those of 2011. I have a long history of trying to find the 'Performance Formula™' for this game, but my search has been almost fruitless until the august of this year, which is when I found which helped me to partially fix my microstuttering issue, but most importantly, I found the Darkerrim mod, which not only removed those horrendous reflections on everything, but also fixed ALL indoor lag, which allowed me to set many of my graphics settings to high. However, while my FPS are very high indoors, it's a completely different story outdoors (towns, cities, wilderness, etc.), where the reflections still make everything look like it's made of wax and is covered in oil, and my FPS are still very low and inconsistent.I think I understand why this is happening. The sun is the enemy. Darkerrim removes every 'lightbulb' from the game, almost all of which are indoors, but the outside world has sun, which is just a gargantuan 'lightbulb' that is sitting in the sky, laughing at me. If the sun, or its light was removed, there would be nothing to reflect, and my FPS would be much higher. Before you ask, yes I know that 'always night' mods exist, but it's not what I'm looking for, as I still want my game to retain the day-and-night cycle.Thank you in advance.TL;DR:Reflection bad, lighting bad, me want no lighting or reflection outside.
