AMVPh34r
The last time I successfully started up Skyrim was about a week or so ago, and it ran perfectly fine, no issues whatsoever. I just again tried to run it today, and a few strange things happened.First off, an error popped up once I clicked play, reading: "The procedure entry point <long string of gibberish containing something like IDirect3DDevice9> could not be located in the dynamic link library d3d9.dll"I clicked OK, expecting the game to just close, but it seemed to continue to start up anyway. The main game window opened, I saw a black screen for a few seconds, then it crashed and closed without any sort of error. After trying different fixes and messing with my mods and load order, the only differences I've seen in the issue are 1) sometimes the Bethesda logo video plays, then I see the Skyrim logo, but the game crashes before the menu starts up; and 2) just once I managed to actually load a save and play for about five minutes before it crashed in the same manner. Between the mysterious error message that Google doesn't seem to be too helpful with and my attempted fixes yielding no results, I'm at a loss here. Does anyone think they might have any idea as to what could be causing this, or how to fix it? To help make things easier, I've included my installed mods, my BOSS log and a list of fixes I've tried so far. Mods/DLC: Unfortunately, I can't get links to the mods right now, but they are all either from the nexus or the Steam workshop.DawnguardHearthFireClimates of TamrielHigh Res Texture PackBetter Dynamic SnowImmersive ThunderSounds of Skyrim - The Dungeons and The WildsFurther Dark Dungeons for ENBEnhanced SoundtrackSkyrim Soundtrack ExpansionBirds of SkyrimHQ Snow TextureLush TreesMilky Way Galaxy TextureSkyUICloaks of SkyrimMy Little Pony: Weapons/Armor is Magic (don't you judge me)Realistic Map + RoadsPossessive CorpsesEnhanced Blood Textures - Dawnguard patchUncle Sheogorath's Really Helpful Hints and TipsThe Dance of Death - Dawnguard versionW.A.T.E.R.I also am using the latest versions of ENB and SKSE, and I probably have some loose files loaded in my Data folder, but I unfortunately can't match them up with specific mods (just textures and sounds, nothing I believe should cause an issue like this). ShadCroly
I'm crashing to desktop at startup, too. I'm trying the same things you did to see if I can fix it, though no dice so far. [EDIT] Weird question, but if you can get to the point where you can load a save file, have you tried loading a previous save? A save file before you did any Dragonborn content? I loaded up a quick save just prior to a hard save I made and it worked. It's not an actual solution, but it at least might get you going. zantariz
I've had the same thing happen to me on my previous computer. It turned out the graphics card went bad. It worked fine for most things, but something happened where it stopped working for all games and games would crash just after login. It's unfortunate if that is the problem as graphics cards are gernerally expensive to replace.

If I can't afford Dragonborn, I definitely can't afford a new graphics card.
AMVPh34r
Sorry for the double-post, but I have a few more details... After doing extensive research (read: hours of googling), I'm wondering if maybe I simply have a problem with my DirectX installation? I get the error referring to d3d9.dll regardless of whether I even have the file in the game's folder. I tried uninstalling ENB entirely by deleting all the files, and it seems the error still appears, leading me to believe that the game is trying to access the windows/system32/d3d9.dll file even if the ENB .dll exists in the game folder. When I tried to re-install DirectX I just got the message that an equal or newer version was already installed, and therefore couldn't do it again to try and fix the problem. I know this is kind of veering away from Skyrim specifically and towards Windows issues, but Skyrim is still the only game I am experiencing this problem with (Fallout 3 and NV work fine, for instance, as well as other DX9 games). If anyone could shed some light on this at all, that would be really helpful.
