wats6831
Hi guys. I spent about 8 hours following the FCOM installation step by step. (OOO, MMM, Franc's etc) I went ahead and added Natural Environments and bashed the patch up nicely. Everything seems to be working perfectly however once I got out of the tutorial, there was no sky textures, everything is just black. So I tried adding the "Improved Sky Textures" mod and replacing the game textures but I still only get a black sky. Any ideas on how to possibly fix this? I REALLY don't want to have to start over because I've spent so much time getting everything (well almost) to work. Thanks for your time. :thanks: *EDIT* Maybe if someone could list all the sky textures in the "vanilla" Oblivion I could check and see if everything is there. Thanks. I'll see if that helps. Thanks so much. :thanks:
wats6831
I love you. That was it. You're the man/woman. Now if I could just figure out how to force my video card to use the 3.0 shader packs. :thanks:
ihateregisteringeverywhere
You won't - unless it supports them. That's why a friend of mine hates his card, it doesn't support 3.0 shader and many games simply don't work on his machine :).
wats6831
Oh mine supports them. I just did what the tweak guide said and renamed the shader pack to "force" it to use it. Didn't work though.

Now if I could just figure out how to force my video card to use the 3.0 shader packs. :thanks:  Glad i could be of help..well, concerning the shaderpack: I think, Oblivion sometimes "guesses" the wrong pack; i recall it sometimes gives me pack 4 though my good old 8600GT needs package number 13. Had to reinstall the game beccause of technical reasons and suddenly there was package 13 in the renderer-info. Anyway...the difference between SM2 and SM3 isn´t that huge...so, if it doesnt work, forget about it and enjoy the game! By the way: There´s a modified pack 19 available...just do a quick search for "shader" and you´ll stumble upon it.Cheers!!!
