Indeed @Algabar im using ENB, but turning off DoF and blur in its config (shift+enter) changes nothing, manually changings .ini files also not helping. Should i check other presets for ENB to fix it? Except that i have Realistic Lightning Overhaul and Enhanced Lights and FX, maybe Vivid Weathers also can make this, but im unsure; should I focus at tweaking with those first 3?

Hmm...Still haven't got that one bright idea...

Just to rule out an obvious error: Make sure to play the game at your monitor's native resolution: E.g. if you have a 1920x1080 monitor, play at that resolution. Playing at a different resolution can result in "soft" images...

Also check you aren't running "double" or even "triple" antialiasing settings. There are three ways to change the game's visual appearance: The game's settings (basically Skyrim.ini and Skyrimprefs.ini), your graphics card driver settings and ENB (if you use it). Basically, it's good practice to use only one effect of each type from any of the three sources. E.g. if you use FXAA from your graphics driver or ENB, don't also enable the game's FXAA. In most cases you can leave the game's TAA on - but it "softens" the image... You can use BethINI to configure your .ini files. It's way easier than editing variables manually - and less prone to errors. Personally, I tend to let ENB take over and disable effects from the game and from my graphics driver - but that's not the only possible approach.

Regarding Vivid Weathers: Yeah, it kinda gives the game a "softer" look.

You can try if disabling Vivid Weathers and/or using a different ENB presets gives more pleasant results.

On a side note: You shouldn't use RLO and ELFX together. They basically do the same thing. In practice, the mod loaded last will overwrite most settings of the other mod, but not entirely. Simply choose one over the other. I doubt this is the main cause of your issue though.

You see - I'm still unsure what exactly causes your issue. Maybe someone else has more and better ideas?

Great thanks for your advices, ill try to remove ELFX and tinker a bit with Vivid then, also will check that prepared ini file and removing any AA. Generally game looks more blurred as range incrases, but mostly its visible at all NPCs - seems like its forced to underscale all textures of NPCs which are not in very close proximity.

--- EDIT ---

Seems that BethINI finnaly brigns order with DoF and blur - everything is pretty sharp now as should be. Thanks a lot, thread to close!

The main variables should be:

In SkyrimPrefs.ini

[imagespace]
bDoDepthOfField=0

This will disable the game's built in (and IMHO quite horrible) DOF.

In Skyrim.ini

[imagespace]
iRadialBlurLevel=0

This will disable the motion blur.

TBH, I hardly ever edit ini files manually. I use BethINI. The relevant settings are in the "Basic", "Detail" and "Visuals" tabs.
