Flesh and Blood - There and Back Again

So way back when I first started playing Skyrim... not so long ago actually, I ended up completing the quest chain to become a wearwolf. I guess I wasn't familiar enought with the game yet to know that there are choices to be made, I just figured it was a quest and it had to be done, so I did. So naturally thereafter guards constantly ask me if I have fur growing out of my ears... you caught me...

At some point I went to Dawnguard keep and started that quest chain which lead me to the sleeping vampire girl. I returned her to the castle and accepted the head vampires offer to cleans me of my lycanthropy and make me a vampire... woohoo... accept I quickly got over it and didn't like the daytime experience.

I happened upon a priest who offered to return me to the living with the use of a dark soul gem. So I went ahead with the ritual and it seems that I'm back to normal again.... from human, to flesh eater, to blood drinker, and back to human. Except now the guards still ask me about the fur growing ouf of my ears and the dawnguard is still hunting me.

I understand why the dawnguard is still hunting me... once a vampire.... etc. However, I think the dawngard npcs may still be getting the bonus damage with their weapons against me and aos taking less damage from me as though I were still a vampire.

I think something didn't get reset.

The fur issue is a known bug, you'll notice your "Days as a werewolf" counter is still going up despite being cured. You'll need to open up the console and use:

set PlayerIsWerewolf to 0

I'm not sure about the Dawnguard one, it might be more complicated than setting a variable to 0 as Dawnguard doesn't let you switch sides after making your choice. Either you're a vampire or your a vampire hunter, no betraying or changing of heart is allowed. If you want to join the Dawnguard it'll probably involve a bit of setstage magic and other hijinks. Probably best to just load an old save.
