tbdoom
Hello! Recently I decided to write a sort of diary of a fallout new vegas serious roleplay run. I am a bit unsure of some good mods I can use to enhance the experience. I come here asking for some help with suggestions as sometimes you read about a mods description only to find out it is not quiet as good as you thought. I am looking for lore friendly mods. Some lore friendlish quest mods. A good player house that will not overpower a player in hardcore (so no mass amounts of ammo or god weapons) Some unique weapons (not god weapons) And generally anything that enhances hardcore mode for the better. I hope you guys can help out some.

You even have to shell out caps or convert energy cells to power all the lights and other neat objects in the house. And you can use a built in tool to move it anywhere you'd like once you have it. Project Nevada has a lot of overall enhancements to gameplay and options for tweaking things like perk and skill gain, exp gain, combat damage multipliers, etc, etc. Imps more complex needs, Needs some tweaking but it does make you think more about what your character puts into their body. It also has stat boosts for eating a healthy diet, and getting plenty of regular sleep, and penalities including death for neglecting your needs or over doing it on chems and booze. For guns i'd go with weapon retexture project or book of earache ((Just don't ask where to get the second one.)) New vegas bounties 1 and 2 are both nicely done mods that together have about as much play time as the main quest in New Vegas. Definitely worth trying out if you want to put your skills to the test as a gun slinger. And lastly I'd pick up Spice of Life, especially seeing as it's now compatible with Breeze's males. doesn't really do anything but slap some new outfits on the various people roaming the waste, but It adds some nice variety, and there are certain outfits that don't come up at all in the leveled lists ((Not that I've noticed at least)) so you have a few outfits available for your companions and yourself to use. Well I asked the folks where I will be making the diary what kind of character they would like to read about, Currently I am down to either a child in the wasteland and/or sheriff of goodsprings. Anyone can suggest some more things to help out with my little project?
Xaranth
If you're going to record pictures along with the diary, you'll definitely want the Imaginator, and possibly Dynavision. Without the imaginator, you're pretty much screwed by game lighting for taking screenshots in either an extremely limited set of circumstances, or spending an hour or two post-processing to try and make things visible. >.>
OneBoredBoredKid
What about Honest Hearts? Nobody's really done anything with that whole "lost in the mountains" premise. I loaded up the game, hit the ` key, typed TMM 1 and fast traveled to Zion and lived as a gecko hunter until I got bored of that. But it was fun for a while.. maybe not everyones idea of a fun time though
tbdoom
Book of earache seems to rely heavily on certain mods i do not really want to use. D: THough lings does look awesome...I have used Mikotos but it makes me question that decision seeing lings. At this point still looking for some weapon mods. Mostly for unique one of a kind stuff. Looking for more immersion mods. Real smokes is pretty neat looking. Anything else you can suggest to up the immersion?
DJKnightDnB
I have the perfect mod for you. If you have hear of new Vegas bounties then you'll probably know the creator. SomeGuy2000. I was one if his testers for his latest mod, the inheratance. It's extremely lore friendly and sticks to the courier theme, it's not a walk in the park quest, it's pretty difficult( sorry about that, I told him to smarten the AI up :D ) and at the end you get a reward...... ;£ that reward will get you into the strip. tbdoom
Well so far I have: New Vegas Enhanced Content --- mostly for the bug fixes it contants but also because of all the ''baby'' mods it has along with the big ones.Project NevadaWMXWillowNinerClassic fallout weaponsNV interiorsRealistic portable tent So still seeking some immersion mod suggestions. I am looking at Arwens tweaks but I would like someone who has used them to tell me how they work out in game experience wise. Also seeking a nice house in goodsprings. I have decided to play as if the courier has amnesia after the bullet and decided to act as sheriff of Goodsprings for a while. Anything that can enhance that experience would be neat. mrqiv1122
I recommend you to download NVB I, And NVB II, the quest are rewarding and lore friendly, and CNR mod, if you want to make Ceaser's Legion more barbaric and tougher.
slowone
The yangtze memorial shack mod might suit you, its near goodsprings and not too unfriendly, I was going to suggest the portable tent, its follower friendly, and fits the idea of setting up camp wherever you roam, I dont know if its still up to date.good luck, it sounds like fun.
